A murder was announced

Our last meeting began with the arrival of Constable Bailey and his ghastly news that Sir Reginald Fortescue-Smythe had been murdered! Whilst we had been eating fish and chips someone had jolly well pushed him out of the window!
Lady Sara
This was followed by the arrival of some his delightful family and employees and it was then up to the WoWWI ladies to discover the murderer.
Miss Kitty
Shockingly two more murders followed - not the done thing at a WI - and we were regaled with the antics of a drunken Captain John Nelson - some ladies were distressed by this!
Captain Nelson and Constable Bailey
After twists, turns and revelations the murderer was discovered by the ladies and Constable Bailey was able to make an arrest.
Please be assured that the gentile ladies of WoWWI will not entertain any more murders at their meetings!!
he was killed because of that dreadful suit!
Thank-you to Murder by Design

Coming up . . . in September

Our first autumn meeting is on Tuesday 16th September 7.30 pm at the Museum. We will be having a few announcements and  raffle but most of the evening will be taken up with a fantastic Murder Mystery!Fish & Chips will be available to purchase.Just a reminder that October meeting includes our Annual General Meeting where some committee members are standing down, having worked very hard for over 3 years. We therefore need new Committee members! It doesn't matter how long you have been a member if you would like to help out....... please volunteer!WOW WI raises funds through membership fees, sale of raffle tickets and sale of refreshments. Our funds are diminishing and costs rising so unfortunately we have decided that the cost  of refreshments has to be increased. As from next week, tea or coffee and biscuits will be £1 per person.

If you want to buy fish & chips to eat on Tuesday these will be on sale from 7 pm...so arrive early to get your order in!
